COVID-19 UPDATE
We have converted many of our programs to a webinar style class and have released the fall 2020 and winter/spring 2021 schedule with online registrations NOW OPEN.
Please note that any training programs we run at this time, will be done so in a virtual online environment and access to a computer with sound and video is required.
The Canadian Mental Health Association Ottawa branch offers training programs and workshops for professionals, employers, educational institutions and the general public who work with or care for persons living with a mental illness. We offer programs in both English and French by qualified and certified instructors.
Our training season runs from September to June each year for general public programs and workshops. An overview of the sessions we have planned for the 2019-2020 season are listed below.
We also offer on-demand sessions of many of our programs throughout the year based on your group or organizational needs. For more information on how to request an on-demand training session, please visit our training request page.

2020 – 2021 Training Season Overview
Registration
You must register online for training. You can access our online system by clicking here, via the Events schedule or the individual course descriptions throughout the site. Registrations must be paid via Visa or Mastercard, we do not accept cash or debit cards.
If you cannot register online or you are experiencing difficulties with the online tool, please call our office at 613-737-7791, ext 217.
All program registration deadlines are one week prior to the event date, so be sure to register in advance as we cannot accept late registrations.
Cancellations and Refunds
Full refunds, less a $20.00 administration fee, will be given when a written request is received seven days prior to the date of workshop. Registration may be transferred to another person. There will be a $25.00 charge on all returned cheques.
If we need to cancel your training session, you will receive an email notifying you of the cancellation. If we are running the session again during the training season, you will have the option to transfer your registration to later in the year. If we are not running another session or you do not wish to transfer your registration, we will refund you the cost of the program in the same manner in which you originally paid.
Parking
Parking is free of charge and on a first come, first served basis.
Meals
Coffee, tea and water will be served for all public programs and we recommend participants bring a bagged lunch for full day events. There is also a small variety of local cafes or restaurants in the area should you wish to purchase your lunch.
