The Ottawa branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association is delighted to announce the arrival of Bill Egan, the agency’s new Director of Human Resources.
Bill brings to his new role at CMHA Ottawa more than 20 years’ experience in the field of HR. He joins the team by way of Canadian Blood Services, where he most recently served as Human Resources Manager for a team of HR Business Partners in Western Canada.
“Bill brings a wealth of experience to the CMHA,” said CMHA Ottawa Executive Director Tim Simboli. “His communication skills, compassion, and empathy will be a great addition to our leadership team and for the entire organization.”
Bill will oversee the human resources management as well as labour and employee relations for CMHA Ottawa and its approximately 180 staff.
“I am very much looking forward to this new challenge and excited to be part of the CMHA family and to help contribute to the significant positive impact that we make on the lives of individuals who live in this great community,” said Bill. “Mental Health is such an important element of everyone’s well–being, and I am proud to now be part of an organization that will help lead the efforts in this important area.”
CMHA Ottawa is a private, non-profit charitable organization dedicated to promoting good mental health and improving the quality of life for individuals experiencing serious mental illness. The community-based agency is committed to the development and implementation of support systems and services and encouraging public action to strengthen community mental health services and related policies and legislation.
