CMHA Ottawa’s newest Board member, executive VP and CFO at The Ottawa Hospital, Nathalie Cadieux, named Ottawa Business Journal’s CFO of the year

Executive vice-president and chief financial officer at The Ottawa Hospital—and CMHA Ottawa’s newest Board member—Nathalie Cadieux was recently named CFO of the year for 2023 in Ottawa Business Journal, the leading source for business news and information in the nation’s capital.

Cadieux was selected by the Ottawa Board of Trade and Ottawa Business Journal. According to the article announcing the award, “the annual CFO of the Year honour is awarded based on four major criteria. Candidates must be deemed to have taken ‘notable actions to maximize their company’s financial strength and growth during the period.’ They must have ‘demonstrated commitment to achieving best practices in accounting and financial management,’ and exhibited ‘success in overcoming significant business challenges.’ The fourth criteria is to have provided ‘an overall contribution to the well-being of the city and its business community.'”

“Cadieux recently became a board member with the Canadian Mental Health Association in Ottawa and serves on its finance committee,” it continues. “She sought that position as a way of sharing her experience with the community, she said.”
