Celebright’s Twinkle Tunnel: Shining a light on mental health for all

Brilliant 40-foot-long tunnel at Lansdowne Park highlights CMHA Ottawa and partner organizations’ programs and services

Celebright, a local leader in permanent holiday lighting solutions, recently unveiled its new Twinkle Tunnel at the Aberdeen Plaza at Lansdowne Park in Ottawa’s Glebe neighbourhood.

The 40-foot-long outdoor tunnel features thousands of animated holiday lights and will run until Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, captivating visitors to the 2024 Ottawa Christmas Market, IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships, and the other many activities happening at TD Place

Its aim? To shine a light on mental health awareness in the local community.

At CMHA Ottawa, we are thrilled to partner with Celebright and highlight the importance of our community-based programs and services, especially during a time of year when so many feel the weight of seasonal stress or loneliness. Additional partners include our good friends at Ottawa Public Health, CHEO Foundation and OSEG Foundation

“The holidays are a time of joy but also a time when mental health struggles can feel most isolating,” says Dan Junkins, Founder of Celebright. “We hope the Twinkle Tunnel not only brings joy to visitors but also encourages critical conversations about mental health in our community.”

Through these partnerships, Celebright is highlighting key programs and resources available in Ottawa, encouraging everyone to be an ally in the journey toward better mental health for all.

“We applaud the team at Celebright for choosing to spread awareness about community mental health with their wonderful Twinkle Tunnel,” says Dr. Susan Farrell, CEO at CMHA Ottawa. “We are so very grateful to be a part of this stunning new attraction for the city of Ottawa.”

Visitors to the Twinkle Tunnel will have access to information about these mental health initiatives and how they can support friends, family, and themselves. Together, Celebright and its partners hope to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and make seeking help more accessible for everyone.
