Mysterious Barricades concert on Sat., Sept. 15 supports suicide awareness, prevention and hope

The third annual Mysterious Barricades concert for suicide awareness, prevention and hope.in Ottawa will be held on Sept. 15 at the University of Ottawa. Held In recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day, it’s one of 13 classical concerts performed and live-streamed across Canada.
This annual concert series brings artists and audiences together to heal from the impact of suicide. The concert, is both musically excellent and moving. Admission is free.
“To become more open and accepting of mental illness, a substantial conversation must take place. I want to herald in that conversation with music—loud, glorious, positive and far-reaching, deeply reverberating and connective,” says the series organizer Beth Turnbull, whose husband, a classical musician who died by suicide.
