Developing Self-Compassion – Introduction
Self-compassion includes responding to ourselves with kindness and acceptance during difficult times, though difficult emotions, and holding space for our humanity. This course will help participants understand the benefits of being kind to themselves and how to start developing a practice of self-compassion. Topics covered: Defining compassion and self-compassion; self-compassion vs self-esteem; identifying the benefits of self-compassion; exploring the three parts of self-compassion; and how to start developing a practice. (1½ hours in length).
